Shree Banke Bihari Temple
One of the most famous and highly revered temples in India, dedicated to Banke Bihari (Lord Krishna). The deity is believed to have been manifested by Swami Haridas, the great spiritual poet and musician. Unlike other temples, the curtains of the sanctum are opened and closed frequently to prevent guests from looking into the eyes of the deity for too long, which is said to make them lose consciousness in divine ecstasy.
